Landers’ P-51D Mustang Big Beautiful Doll in her revetment at Duxford, circa March 1945. Landers finished the war as a colonel with 14.5 confirmed aerial victories in the Pacific and European Theaters plus 20 ground strafing destroyed. His combat awards include three Silver Stars, four Distinguished Flying Crosses, the Purple Heart, the Croix de Guerre, and 22 Air Medals.
